korean letters in html

    hullo,

    we are translating a website from english to korean and we are wondering if there is anything special we need to do with the code regarding the letters.

    We tried copying the korean text and just pasting it into the html and it looked fine, but when we go to prominent korean websites, such as http://kr.yahoo.com and view the source the letters are coded like this: Ȩ¾¾¾îÅÍ/ÀϺ»¿Âõ¿©Çà/¹éÈ­Á¡»óÇ°±ÇÀÇ Çà¿îÀÌ~.

    why?

    and do we really need to do it even though it seems to work anyway?

    Perhaps they are using a different encoding, such as utf-8. Check their source to see if there's a line similar to this:

    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=utf-8">

    Hi my boyfriend is half korean and loves the phrase "To hell with hereos" we both have appointments to get tattoos tomorrow saterday the 26th and he wants that phrase tattooed in korean lettering. I have been looking every where to try and find a translation and have been quite unsucessful, could you at all possible e-mail me the translation?
